German Club Hannover has signed American winger DaMarcus Beasley to a two-year contract. Beasley spent the last three seasons playing for Rangers FC of the Scottish Premier League, scoring 4 goals in 49 appearances before leaving the team at the end of last season. Beasley will be one of two Americans on the squad as he joins American defender Steve Cherundolo who was named Captain of the club over the summer.
Hannover director Jorg Schmadtke had this to say about the signing:
"DaMarcus' signing adds a further option to our squad. That is necessary for a long Bundesliga season - one in which we have made a great start, but one that will still bring many twists and turns in the coming months."
