Paul the Octopus was a common octopus at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany. Paul was Englishman, having hatched in Weymouth, England. England the birthplace of Association Football, maybe that is why he had such great knowledge of the game? Possibly. Regardless he knew what he was talking about because he predicted all seven of Germany's 2010 World Cup matches, as well as the 2010 World Cup Final. Sure everyone was amazed, but when Paul predicted that Germany would lose to Spain in Semi-Finals German supporters were not too happy. By not too happy I mean they wanted him D-E-D....DEAD! Paul had a pretty amazing life considering he was an Octopus, and I'm sure 10 years from now there will be a book about the prophecies of Paul the Octo-damus.
