The Pursuit of Victory 2011 Old Player of the Year Award goes to Manchester United Goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar. They say women age like fine wine, well so does Edwin Van der Sar. Wait, he's not a women. Maybe he ages like a fine Rolex watch? Does that even make sense? I mean the value of a Rolex does increase every year. Anyways, Edwin Van der Sar has only gotten better over the years. He is the only non-british player to be active in the Premier League beyond the age of 40. For Edwin, age really is nothing but a number. Is a 40 year old man supposed to be doing this:
The man is calm and in complete control at all times. The Champions League series against Chelsea was a great example. Van der Sar's exeptional performance this season despite being 40 years of age earns him this years TPOV Old Player of the Year Award.
