Thomas DiBenedetto, the new American owner of AS Roma, has established a $14.226 million budget to purchase Landon Donovan. Lando's $2.3 million salary will be matched by the Serie A club, which finished 6th in the league with a record of 17-9-11. Donovan's agent, Richard Motzkin, tweeted the following in response to the Roma offer:

Lando isn't the only American that DiBenedetto is shopping for, Roma has shown interest in acquiring American midfielder Michael Bradley.
